Cured-in-Place Pipe Lining

Cured-in-Place Pipe Lining in Boulder

Trenchless Sewer Repair for Boulder, Longmont & Louisville Since 1997

Cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) lining repairs a damaged sewer line from the inside. A resin-saturated liner is inserted into the deteriorated pipe, inflated, and cured with heat, steam, or UV light until it hardens into a seamless new pipe within the old one. No full-length trench required. Planet Plumbing & Drain has delivered sewer, drain, and excavation solutions to residential, commercial, and industrial customers in Boulder, Longmont, Louisville, and across the Front Range since 1997, and pipe lining is part of that same full-service capability.

Our licensed and insured technicians handle everything from a straightforward lining job to cases where a pipe isn’t a lining candidate and traditional excavation is the right call. One provider, every option on the table.

Not sure whether your sewer line needs lining or full replacement? We offer free estimates and same-day availability. Call (303) 827-9310 to get started.

Signs Your Sewer Line May Need Attention

Older sewer lines made of clay or cast iron deteriorate over time. Cracks form, corrosion spreads, and tree roots find their way in through joints and weak spots. The damage is underground, so the symptoms show up elsewhere first.

Watch for these warning signs:

  • Slow drains in multiple fixtures at the same time, not just one sink or tub
  • Gurgling sounds coming from toilets or floor drains after water runs
  • Persistent sewer odors inside the home or near the yard
  • Sewage backups or wet spots in the lawn above the sewer line

A sewer camera inspection gives us a clear look at what’s actually happening inside the pipe. We can pinpoint cracks, root intrusion, corrosion, or pipe collapse before recommending any repair approach, which helps separate a targeted fix from unnecessary work.

Why Boulder Property Owners Work with Planet Plumbing & Drain

Our breadth matters here. Because we handle the full range of plumbing, drain, sewer, water line, and excavation services, we’re not limited to a single repair method. If a pipe is a strong CIPP candidate, we’ll recommend lining. If a section is too damaged or collapsed to line, we have the excavation capability to replace it. You don’t need a second contractor either way.

Pricing is honest and upfront, and that approach has helped us build an A+ BBB rating over more than 25 years in business. We don’t guess at what repairs cost. We tell you before we start.

How the Cured-in-Place Pipe Lining Process Works

The process is methodical, and the steps don’t change. Here’s what to expect:

  • Camera inspection: We run a sewer camera inspection through the line to document the pipe’s condition, locate defects, and confirm that lining is the right repair
  • Hydro-jetting: The line is cleaned with high-pressure water to remove roots, scale, grease, and debris so the liner can bond properly to the pipe wall
  • Liner insertion and curing: A resin-saturated liner sized to the host pipe is inserted through a cleanout or other access point, inflated, and cured with heat, steam, or UV light until it hardens
  • Service lateral reconnection: Any lateral connections are trimmed and reopened from inside the new liner
  • Final camera inspection: We run the camera again to verify the repair before closing out the job

Less Disruption for Your Property

Traditional sewer replacement means opening a trench the full length of the damaged line, which can mean tearing up a lawn, driveway, or landscaping that took years to establish. Trenchless lining works from small access points at each end. The pipe gets repaired while the yard is more likely to stay intact.

Avoiding large-scale excavation also reduces the environmental disruption that comes with heavy machinery and significant soil disturbance. And because the prep and curing process is concentrated rather than spread across a wide dig, the job can often be completed faster than a comparable dig-and-replace repair.
